Sunday morning, May 24th I witnessed a clerk sell lottery tickets to a minor. The clerk appeared young and unsure how to deal with the girl who stated she did not have an ID. A man behind her offered to show his ID for her to continue her purchase and said "is that ok"?. I informed them this was a illegal transaction, an ID is required for the purchase by law. She even said they let her purchase them here before. Regardless of the law, she purchased her illegal tickets and left. When I got to the counter, I was MORE SHOCKED to find an older woman who apparently was a supervisor (or an attempt of a very poor leader) behind the counter to witness this entire transaction. Instead of helping, she was extremely rude and sarcastic by saying "GOOD JOB"!. In an extremely rude and sarcastic tone as if making sure I knew that she didn't care of breaking the law, nor did she feel it was important to help her staff and teach him what to do. Being in a lead position myself, I chose not to lowering myself to her poor standards, I left the store and emailed the Maine State Lottery of this misconduct in sales of their lottery tickets. I would recommend this store to hire staff that not only know the laws, but can uphold customer service. Conducting a class in courtesy and manners would also be appropriate. I admit I was shocked with what I saw and am well aware it may occur elsewhere and chose to help guide this young clerk but its not my place to make the decisions, but it was this inappropriate, extremely rude leader that fueled me more. I'm still disgusted with the lack of respect to a total stranger. But I wasn't a stranger, I'm a customer. Manners required! Note: Name of clerk..which I chose to not mention because I truly believe he was mistreated in this situation by not having the proper guidance on what to do in a situation. What if it was alcohol without ID or cigarettes? Its not the purchase, its the lack of guidance that bothered me more.
One if the girls at DD was SO rude to me..I recorded half the conversation, I could not believe she was still there when I went back in after telling her Boss Carlos all about it..a big blonde girl, she was so rude I said I hope you get fired..she then said " I wont get fired haha"
They don't even cook the English muffins for sandwiches, they arencold..not just once either , 3 times!
Nice store with nice folks working at the store. They know me by name and exactly what I get every morning. Also they have 93 octane gas at great prices which is awesome as my car requires high octane fuel. The only thing I can complain about is the teenagers hanging out at the store at night for hours at a time with their trucks and being loud and obnoxious to and around other customers. Other than that this place is the great. Thank you to all the good folks who work there for making it a pleasant place to stop daily.
